Common questions about LumaRank. Can’t find what you need? Email us.
- What is AI visibility?
- AI visibility is how often and how accurately AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini mention your brand when people ask them questions. As more buyers research with AI instead of search engines, being the answer an AI gives is becoming as important as ranking on Google. LumaRank measures your AI visibility and shows you how to improve it.
- Which AI providers does LumaRank audit?
- LumaRank queries OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini). You choose which providers an audit uses at the company, project and audit level, and the effective set is the intersection of those choices. This lets agencies standardize providers per client while still tuning individual audits.
- How is the visibility score calculated?
- The AI Visibility score (0–100) blends four signals: mention rate (how often you appear in unbranded answers), average position (where you rank when models list options), brand understanding (how accurately models describe you, scored by an LLM judge) and authority (whether models treat you as a leading option). We also track sentiment, per-provider breakdowns and competitor comparisons.
- What is the difference between AI signals and SEO checks?
- AI signals are technical files and markup that help AI crawlers read your site: llms.txt, ai.txt, robots.txt, sitemaps, JSON-LD structured data, OpenGraph tags, RSS, documentation, API docs and a help center. SEO checks are the conventional on-page audit: crawlability, indexability, metadata, headings, content quality, images, internal linking, structured data, mobile, performance and outbound links. Both feed your scores, and they reinforce each other.
- How often should I run an audit?
- For most brands, monthly is a good cadence. AI models update their knowledge and your off-site presence changes over time. Run an extra audit after you ship a significant change, like publishing an llms.txt, launching new content or fixing technical SEO issues, so you can see the impact. LumaRank tracks your scores over time so you can watch the trend.
- How do I upgrade or change my plan?
- Go to the pricing page and pick a plan. Paid plans are activated through secure checkout: your plan is only granted by our server after payment is verified, never by the client. Individuals can switch back to the free plan at any time. Enterprise plans are set up through sales. See the pricing page for current limits on companies, projects and monthly audits.
